Ben's Cookies is more than a cookie shop. The first thing that strikes you is the smell of freshly baked cookies, the second is that everything is very red. In addition to the cookies (all baked on the premises and all very tasty), they do the usual good variety of coffee, buns, sandwiches and baguettes to eat in or take away. There aren't too many tables and the premises are fairly crampt but Ben's Cookies is definitely worth a visit. They also do packs of cookies and specially made cookies for special occasions.

The Big Bite Cafe on Hamilton Terrace/Holly Walk deserves a mention in the Cafe Guide. The Cafe is the back section of the Big Bite Sandwich shop on Regent street . It has a wide range of sandwiches, baguettes, paninis and salads and good coffee in HUGE servings (be prepared for a long stay if you order a large coffee!). It's fairly small but this creates a cosy atmosphere and the prices are very reasonable in comparison to most others in town.

A really valuable addition to the choice in the town. Situated in an area without much other choice: opposite the Parish Church, it has a great window for watching the world go by and probably uniquely for Leamington an enclosed garden at the rear which has proved a really popular sun trap recently.

The choice is again different and filling holes in the local market: quality coffees, teas and other drinks and highly imaginative bagels, sandwiches, baguettes, patisserie etc, all made on the premises and excellent value. The musical ambience seems to attract a wide range of patrons and the staff go out of their way to welcome people.

Cafe Rouge always seems to be packed around Saturday lunchtimes with people having meals and just drinks so it must have something going for it. The premises are big but the queues to be seated at busy times might put some people off.

Lots of gay action and cum sandwiches at the James' house. If you go to North Leam and you like it up the barn door and sandwiches this place is for you.

Chris Tearne is also banned from here.

If you like smeely faggot buoys then ODSS is for you.

Chris Tearne is also banned from the establishment for trying to get bum action by mistaking it for Harry James' place.

Formerly known as Rhubarb Crumble, Rhubarb Rhubarb (corner of Warwick Street and Bedford Street) began as an unusual gifts shop with a small veggie cafe at the back, since when the shop has gradually receded while the cafe side of the business has continued to grow and develop. The reasons for this are not hard to find - basically, the food is excellent, the decor funky, the music relaxing (especially if you like Billie Holliday) and the service friendly. Open till 6pm Monday to Saturday, they're worth giving a try - especially if you think you don't like veggie food!

Very pleasant cafe in the newly opened Royal Pump Rooms. Serves the usual selection of drinks, cakes, rolls and that sort of thing. When they've finished testing the spa waters, we should be able to drink those too (whether they taste good is another matter). At outdoor terrace overlooks the park. Prices are high but not crazily so (e.g. small bottle of orange juice is ?1.50).

Nice food but the menu can be a bit limited (especially at lunch). Good for lunch or dinner. Good friendly service. A few dishes suitable for people on diets. Valentines day at Sachers is worth the trip, but book well in advance if you want to make it on the 14th.
